Remove Excess Paint and Prepare for Flush

What happens here

After completing your painting task, carefully lift the paint sprayer's intake hose out of the paint bucket and quickly transfer it into a separate bucket filled with extremely clean water. This prevents paint from drying inside the hose and ensures the filters do not get clogged. Next, lower the pressure setting on your airless sprayer to a minimum. Direct the spray gun into your original paint container and squeeze the trigger to run any remaining paint out of the line and back into the paint bucket. Continue this process until you observe clear water beginning to emerge from the spray gun, indicating that most of the paint has been purged from the system. Be attentive to avoid running water into your paint, which could thin it out.

Goal: Begin by transferring the paint sprayer's intake hose from the paint bucket to a bucket of clean water, then reduce the sprayer's pressure and run residual paint from the gun back into the original paint container.
