How to install automatic gate opener..part 1

What happens here

The video starts with the presenter explaining the need to replace a simple cable barrier with a more secure, heavy-duty gate and a Ghost Controls automatic gate opener. The installation site is an old roadbed, previously cleared last October, which meanders through the woods to a waterfall area and a future farmstead cabin/home site. The current setup is deemed insufficient for security and safety.

Goal: The presenter introduces the project: installing a heavy-duty gate with an automated opener at a specific location on his farm. This involves replacing a makeshift cable barrier on an old roadbed that leads to key areas of the property, providing essential context for the upcoming outdoor fixture installation.

[Music] folks before we get started with this video I want to let you know that I don't claim to be a professional gait hanger or professional fence builder a professional anything other than a guy on his farm hanging a gate and having some fun with you and sharing something fun so if you have any input or any positive influence you can give and teach us please teach us thanks a lot hey folks this is Josh Stoney Ridge farmer welcome to the farm vlog today is going to be the first day in a multi-part video series about installing a fence gate right here so we have a road that we built here last October and over the next several days we're going to be installing post heavy-duty 6x6 post and a heavy-duty gate and a gate opener from ghost controls so come along today we're gonna get a good start on this and we'll tell you a little bit about what's going on all right so first of all let's tell you a little bit about this road there used to be an old road bed that ran through here and ran all the way into town which is like a four or five mile trek through the woods to town this roads been closed for probably 60 years but there's still remnants of the road here and we went ahead and took back those remnants cleared out this area and this road kind of meanders up through the woods and goes to our waterfall area and the place where we want to build our farm state cabin and possibly the place where we'll build our permanent home all that being said what we have currently is this cable ran across here and basically it's not a physical barrier we don't need a physical barrier we just need a barrier to keep folks from coming down in here going down and doing whatever it is that people do on dead-end roads guys leave me some comments if you have any guesses of what those people might be doing down here this to me is just not secure enough now let me give you a story I had a good friend in high school they got got his neck cut from running underneath a cable that was unprotected so just a bare cable just like this so we were sure to put reflective material and we've put a piece of PVC pipe on here so that's highly visible so that nobody gets hurt we don't want anybody get hurt here on the farm so what we're gonna do on today's vlog I can't get all
