How to install an affordable automotive lift! Perfect man cave!

What happens here

The safety cables and equalization cables are routed from one lift post, through pulleys at the base, across a protective channel on the floor, and up into the second post. The cables should have approximately half an inch of play to function correctly. Lock nuts are installed at the ends of the cables within the posts to secure their tension. These cables work in conjunction with the hydraulic cylinders (one inside each post) and a chain mechanism to raise and lower the lift arms smoothly and evenly. The tension of these cables needs to be checked and adjusted after initial use.

Goal: The safety and equalization cables are routed through the lift posts and across the floor channel, then adjusted to have proper tension for safe operation.
