How to Fix Paint Runs in Every Situation! Make Your Mistake Disappear.

What happens here

After wet sanding, dry the area with a clean rag. Inspect the surface for any deep pockets or holes left by the run. If there are any, apply a thin coat of Bondo Glazing & Spot Putty using a putty knife. Spread the putty evenly over the imperfections, ensuring it fills the voids. Allow the Bondo to dry for about an hour. Once dry, wet sand the Bondo with a fine sanding sponge until it is perfectly smooth and flush with the surrounding surface. This step is critical for a flawless finish.

Goal: Fill deep imperfections and create a perfectly smooth surface.

so now that we got it all sanded off you can see how it's masked off you gotta determine a section where you can mask off a whole section and re-spay a whole section because you can't just spray just the spot you sanded because it'll leave a dry feathered edge around that spot where you're spraying so we found a nice logical place where we can mask it off and so we're gonna shoot this whole face of this column but i'm gonna shoot one shot right across where our touch up is first we're gonna let that dry and then re-shoot the whole face because the first shot's gonna fill in those areas where we actually sanded and hopefully it smooths out those ridges playing the first coat on this and i can actually see my ridge line still a little bit so now i'm actually going to use some bondo i've got some bondo and glazing putty right here i'm going to smear it on there and then to attempt to hide that the ridge lines and the run a little bit better and then we'll sand the bondo and reshoot it uh close look at the thin coat of bondo i put on there we can let that dry about an hour and then we're going to sand it [Music] back here and we're actually got it primed it's drying and we're gonna now get ready to shoot it you'll see us spraying the thing here
