How to fix a Power tool Battery that Won't take charge

What happens here

After the 10-second jump-start period, carefully disconnect all the jumper wires from both batteries. Then, take the 'repaired' Milwaukee M18 battery and place it back into its dedicated Milwaukee Rapid Charger. Observe the charger's indicator lights. If the rejuvenation was successful, the charger should now display a normal charging sequence (typically a flashing green light), indicating that the battery is accepting a charge once again.

Goal: Verify that the 'dead' battery now accepts a charge.
