What happens here

This video visually demonstrates and compares the efficiency and quality of creating trenches for landscape edging using a mechanical edger versus manual digging with shovels. It highlights the significant time savings and superior precision achieved by the mechanical method, even briefly showing how to adjust the edger's depth.

Two men with shovels versus one man with an edger. We're going to see how much faster Jake and I can actually work versus this machine. We've got the equal amount of edging to do. We're going to be going following the the orange line behind us. He's going to start on this side. We're going to start on the other side. So, let's get this party started and show how much better we are than this thing. We got wet soil. So, we're cheating a little cuz this is easy for us to dig. If this was dry and hard packed soil, it'd be a different story. We're going to smoke that machine. right, we're hitting a few ruts and a few rocks. [Music] works on those forearms. It really Oh. So, let's let's look at the difference in the trenches. This is what the machine does. It digs a nice trench and then it flips it right up alongside of it. So, you put your edging in and you kick it in. Let's go over. This is This is the finish point for this machine. And our finish point was right there. We started at the same point. You can see how much more this machine got done than we did. Here's where we left off. Here's our trench. Oh my gosh, that looks like crap. It's crooked. Dirt's tossed everywhere. The bottom is uneven in height. We're going to have to fill that in and start over again, I'm afraid. Let's look at the other trench. Now, all right, here's the trench the machine did. Straight. The bottom is the same height. The dirt is nicely tossed to the side. And what happens is not only did this machine cut the trench in half the time it took us to hand dig our trench, but now it's also going to speed up the installation process. we can lay the plastic in, put the dirt up in place, pound it, and we're done. It's almost the same um width as the edging. So, that's going to hold the edging as in place as we're installing it. So, not only does it dig the trench faster, but it also speeds up the installation of the edging. Adjust the depth of this machine to get your right proper cutting angle by adjusting the height of the wheels. So you drop the wheels down, it raises the blade up, gives you a smaller
