Lay and Level Sand Bed

look at the lake [Music] Pond the gray material that's being swept right now is that recycle class 5 that's been compacted those black things that are laying across it are actually just pipes 3/4 in round pipes and that's a critical measurement because that determines the depth of our sand and that that's critical because if you add too much sand what happens is sand has no cohesive binder in it so if you go too deep with the sand you can have a pressure point on the edge of a p and that will sand will give will move it's flexible it's meant to do that when you have just the right amount of sand it'll hit this hard base underneath and it will not allow deflection in the pavers so by adding too much sand you're setting yourself for failure down the road by getting that sand that 3/4 inch just right everything else will fall in line and I forgot to say that 3/4 inch round pipe sets the exact right height to your sand [Music]
