Line Trench with Geotextile Fabric

What happens here

Line the entire trench with a heavy-duty landscaping fabric (geotextile fabric). Ensure the fabric extends up both sides of the trench, with enough overlap at the top to fold over the top layer of gravel later. This fabric prevents soil and silt from mixing with the gravel and clogging the pipe, while still allowing water to pass through.

Goal: Prevent clogging of the drain system by separating soil from gravel.
