What happens here

Once the pipe is in place, cover it with additional washed drain stone, filling the trench up to about 4-6 inches from the top. The video describes water rushing through 'decorative stone into drain stone, into the pipe,' indicating the drain stone plays a significant role in water filtration. This layer of gravel surrounds the pipe, providing an excellent void space for water collection and rapid infiltration while preventing soil from reaching the pipe. Fold the excess geotextile fabric over the top of this gravel layer, completely enclosing the pipe and drain stone.

Goal: Encapsulate the perforated pipe with drain stone and geotextile fabric.
