Move Cattle and Account for All Animals

What happens here

After preparing the new pasture and unrolling the hay, open the gate to allow the cattle to move from their old pasture into the new one. Use an electric fence prod to gently guide any hesitant cows through the gate. Once all the cows are in the new pasture, close and secure the gate. Perform a headcount to ensure all animals have transitioned safely. If any calves are separated from their mothers, carefully pick them up and place them on the ATV to transport them to their mothers.

Goal: Successfully relocate all cattle to the new pasture and confirm their safety.
