What happens here
To maintain optimal grass growth, the farmer practices intensive rotational grazing, explaining the concept of keeping grass in its "teenage years" for vigorous growth. This is achieved by moving cows frequently between paddocks. The grazing strategy involves allowing cows to eat one-third of the available forage, trample another third, and leave one-third. This method prevents the grass from entering senescence (an aging phase where growth slows) and promotes continuous vigorous regrowth, while simultaneously returning organic matter and nutrients to the soil.
Goal: Maintain optimal grass growth and forage quality through strategic grazing cycles.
