HAY MAKING EQUIPMENT...WHAT DOES IT COST??

What happens here

The video begins with Josh, the Stony Ridge Farmer, and Mrs. Stony Ridge in their truck, announcing their road trip to Denton, North Carolina. Their goal is to acquire a hay rake and a hay baler. Josh mentions that this is a new venture for him, as he's never baled hay before, and he intends to share his learning journey with viewers. He highlights the intention to utilize the grass in their fields for hay, selling it or using it for water runoff control, since they don't yet have cows or fences. He also notes the 76-mile journey back with the equipment will involve towing on the freeway at a slow speed of about 40-45 miles per hour, expecting it to be a bit stressful.

Goal: Travel to purchase hay baler and hay rake.

Hey, this is Josh, Stony Ridge Farmer, and this is Mrs. Stony Ridge. We are headed out of the Stony Ridge farm on a road trip to a wonderful place. We're going down to Denton, North Carolina, where I found a hay rake and hay balor and that this guy has and we're going to a chicken farm. So, basically, we're uh going down to pick up a hay rake and a hay bor. I'll talk to you a little bit about how I chose the rake and bor. This is a total first for me, guys. And you know, if you're watching this vlog and you're thinking about getting into farming, pushing the button to close my gate behind me, if you can see it closing. Um, if you're watching this vlog and you're thinking about getting started farming, these are things that you got to think about. You know, I've never mowed hay before. I mean, I've mowed I've helped out with mowing, but I've never mowed and ba bailed hay before. I don't know how to do this stuff. So, I've got a lot of learning to do and I'm going to take you guys on that journey of learning how to bail hay and uh and not wasting the grass that we've got in our fields and just mowing it down onto the ground. We don't have cows yet. We don't have fences yet. So, the logical thing is to bail it for hay and sell it and use it for uh water runoff control and stuff like that. So, come along with us. We're going down to Denton, North Carolina, where we're going to pick up a hay balor and hay rake. It's about 76 miles away and we're going to be towing on the freeway, which is a little bit on the stressful side. Probably maximum speed of about 40 45 miles an hour. So, let's get out of here. Go have some fun. Woo!
