What happens here
After cutting the gutter to length, prepare it for installation. This involves attaching specialized end caps to any open ends of the gutter sections that will not connect to another gutter or a corner piece. Apply a generous amount of gutter sealant (e.g., a high-quality polyurethane sealant) to the inside edges of the end caps before securing them with screws or rivets. If a downspout is needed for a section, cut an opening in the bottom of the gutter using a hole saw or tin snips and attach a downspout outlet, sealing all edges.
