What happens here

This project details the unboxing, setup, and comparative testing of the Milwaukee MX FUEL 14-inch Cut-Off Saw against a traditional gas-powered Husqvarna K-770. The process includes unpacking the saw, handling and charging its heavy batteries, installing new diamond blades on both saws, and then conducting horizontal and vertical concrete cutting tests to assess performance, runtime, and ergonomics. The video concludes with a review highlighting the pros and cons of the battery-powered saw.

[Music] oh man it's going to be head-to-head gas burst battery and full-size chop fog today i'll tell you if they sold it by the pound you'd get your money's worth that's a freaking brick that's the battery one two two of them it looks like they sent me a third don't know why not gonna complain about it of course it's not mine to keep so charger we'll look at this in a minute this is not our saw to keep it goes right back to milwaukee when we're done testing it i can't help it but i am smelling the tools i just love the smell of new tools not joking all right let's look at the sock it's a little bit heavy to be quite frank with you and then okay you know you're picking something up you know you got it okay so let's pull the battery oh there we go all right so you don't just flip it over you flip it over hold it up cause it's got this oh they're not gonna lose their battery are they red means charging green is done uh that means it's too hot and i have no clue what that means all right well let's do this uh i got the new milwaukee saw inside and i want to put two brand new shocker blades on them because yeah those are those are the good ones those are the ones i like okay so that's what you've you've basically fallen in love with so we're gonna stick those on it and then we're gonna put this bad boy head to head against the new one he's gonna cry if it loses i am gonna uh yeah i'm gonna perform i'm gonna make it not lose no i'm just i'm just kidding you guys will get a fair comparison all right all right we're gonna put two brand new blades on each saw that way we're starting the exact same this company called blades direct sells what they call a shocker blade and it has easily become our company's favorite blade of all time but we didn't always start with them so when we want to change the blade we put our stop in right here hex and that i found right there it comes with it comes with it stick it in and then arrow arrow tight tight okay slide that back in there yep let's put that back in there okay go for it see it lift it how is that how's the balance feel got a little bit of weight here yeah give that a half see what you think all right are you stretching yeah be careful of this [Laughter] watch out for the lawnmower [Music] check this out it's got wheels it's got wheels on the front so you can wire so like you can walk it i am excited so for this first test we're going to take the milwaukee head-to-head against sam's favorite saw of all time it's the husqvarna k770 gas powered saw let's see how it does [Music] right out of the gate you notice that it's got power when milwaukee claims that it can keep up to a gas off i don't think they're far off on that but the weight sucks until you remember there's wheels let's double check our gaps i was trying to go the same as you during the cut yeah it looks like we kind of were i might have gone deeper in a couple of spots i kind of was thinking the exact same oh you can see i was going deeper okay let's let's do it again well i put mine on the wheels yeah that's why i saw you walking behind it how was it i'm sitting there holding behind it yeah yeah i was like it's got wheels i'm gonna use it uh let's do it again this time uh i'll start with the the husky and we'll we'll just wash rinse and repeat we'll see how they do that first cut used up the majority of the first battery so i switched to the second battery for this second cut but what i discovered is that this is about all it can cut before you need to recharge the battery which takes approximately 30 minutes so milwaukee is claiming that they can cut six linear feet what i found out is that they can probably cut in the case like we're doing here about 15 to 20 linear feet before the battery is completely now this concrete also has rebar embedded throughout it so as we're cutting through the concrete we're also cutting through the rebar [Music] thought i'm really impressed it doesn't gyroscope i noticed no you don't get that you don't get the torque with it he wasn't sure honestly i wasn't sure how much i was really going to like that battery on the top but what i'm finding out is that weight on the top you really don't have to do anything yeah you know you're just walking behind it i i really like the wheels on there that's an ingenious size that was a great idea right because literally with that battery with the weight of the battery on the top and the wheels the saw is doing all the work right just walking behind it yep yeah i noticed that too i like that you know you got that full powered like three seconds i i think it okay one one of the things thanks tim one of the things i don't think you like is the light on the switch no i can't i couldn't see it i couldn't see the white oh well especially during the day today it lights up white um i would like to maybe see you know if they had it like the blue for the one like they do on the one key i think that that would be better but legitimately that's the only thing you know i mean even that that's not that big of a deal like with safety glasses on i can't see that light at all period right now you got your sunglasses yeah all right i couldn't really either so all right let's see where are we out on the battery all right so that sucked three bars this is the first on the first charge though so that's great but you're not always going to be able to saw on the ground i think we go vertical with one cut i'm interested to try that out all right vertical test cut starting now heavy saw we'll see gopro start of course you've got to go search for your face mask which happens to be on your forehead all right vertical test cut tape [Music] on a cut like this it's where a lighter saw would be nice you'll notice i'm not going very deep because about halfway down my shoulders are on fire all right here's the shortened curlies on this saw if you're gonna be doing horizontal cuts forget it it just weighs too much you're going to beat yourself up and wear yourself down but if you're going to be doing long straight horizontal cuts you're in like flynn this thing rolls on the wheels it kind of does the cutting for you it's really nice as far as power goes this compared to gas is really equal except on run time if you're going to buy this thinking that you're going to have a battery lasts about the same length of time as a full tank of fuel you're going to be sadly disappointed milwaukee is claiming that they can do a full depth cut in concrete for six feet you'll have to check that out yourself i don't know all the details to that but what we found out is we were getting about whatever kind of whatever you consider that cut but we were getting about 16 linear feet in our concrete but that's also embedded with rebar so we were slicing through rebar at the same time now let's go on to the blades milwaukee does make their own blade it is a good blade but we didn't test it in today's video because we're more used to this blade and so we wanted to keep as many things equal as possible now if you're in the market for a blade this is the one that we do use and i will recommend it because it will outlast your saw if you think i'm kidding here's some of the blades that we have i actually buy these blades in bulk from blades direct because when you buy 12 of them they've got some kind of a special where you actually get a free saw it's freaking stupid and what i found is that 12 of these blades have outlasted the saw not joking that's why this thing looks like this because it is true so but then we switched over to the shocker blade which we found to be the absolute best in the industry period hands down and that's our video for today god bless go get em we will hopefully see you on another one
