Had to bring out the Paver Sucker 3000 for these big slabs!

What happens here

Once at the installation point, carefully lower the paver onto the prepared sand bedding layer. Ensure it aligns precisely with adjacent pavers and maintains consistent joint spacing. Once the paver is perfectly in position, deactivate the vacuum mechanism (releasing the suction). The paver will then gently settle into the sand. You can then slightly tap the paver with a rubber mallet (not shown) if needed to fully seat it and ensure it is level with its neighbors.

Goal: Place the paver accurately onto the bedding layer and release the lifter.

Tools and materials

  • Rubber Mallet — Gently tapping pavers into final position and ensuring levelness
  • Small Level — Checking the levelness of individual pavers and alignment with adjacent ones
  • Vacuum Paver Lifter Likely Makinex — Lowering and releasing the paver
