What happens here
Physically prepare the areas designated for garden beds and pathways. Use a shovel or mechanical edger to define the bed boundaries as drawn in your plan. Remove all existing weeds, grass, and debris using a garden hoe or rake. If pathways are included, excavate them to the appropriate depth for your chosen paver material (as seen in the video). For garden beds, amend the soil with compost or other organic matter to ensure it's healthy and well-draining. Rake the soil smooth and level within the beds. The video shows workers raking soil in newly created beds around 0:08-0:10.
Goal: Create clear, well-prepared spaces for planting and walking.
