Great tip for framing by yourself 👍 #shed #framing #carpentry #tools

What happens here

If working alone and needing to lift a heavy sheathing panel, first prepare the panel. Take a small, sturdy wooden block (approximately 1x4 inches in size or similar) and a hammer. Position the wooden block near the center of one of the panel's edges, ensuring it's on the side that will face outwards once installed. Use the hammer and nails to securely attach the block to the sheathing panel. This block will act as a temporary pivot point for the lifting lever.

Goal: Create a temporary lifting point on the sheathing panel.

Tools and materials

  • Hammer — Nailing the wooden block to the sheathing
  • Wooden Block — Creating a temporary leverage point on the sheathing
  • Nails — Securing the wooden block to the sheathing
  • Sheathing Panel — The main material to be lifted and installed
