What happens here

Once the plastic liner is properly seated in the paint tray, unroll a length of painter's tape. Apply the tape along the perimeter of the tray, securely adhering the edges of the plastic liner to the exterior rim of the paint tray. This prevents the liner from slipping, bunching up, or pulling away from the tray walls while you are rolling paint, ensuring stability during use.

Goal: Prevent the liner from shifting during painting.
