Get the PERFECT Spray Pattern! Airless Sprayer Tips

What happens here

The video starts by highlighting the main goal: achieving a proper spray pattern with an airless spray gun and eliminating issues like 'tailing' (uneven edges) and 'fingering' (paint streaks). It notes that spits, while common with gun extensions, are a separate issue. The presenter explains that proper spray patterns are typically 90% related to pressure and the spray tip. He introduces the Titan 440 Impact sprayer and mentions using multiple pressures and tips with one product to demonstrate different patterns. He also points out the importance of knowing the pressure at the pump, even if not at the gun, for effective troubleshooting.

Goal: This step introduces common paint sprayer issues like 'tailing' or 'fingering' (uneven spray patterns) and how they are often related to pressure, spray tips, or paint type. The presenter emphasizes achieving nice feathered edges for a quality finish.
