What happens here
Locate a section of the sink's main drain pipe, ideally a vertical section between the sink basin and the P-trap. Using a drill and a 1-1/4 inch drill bit, carefully drill a hole through one side of the drain pipe. Take the drain saddle clamp, which typically consists of two halves, and align the hole in the saddle with the drilled hole in the drain pipe. Place the rubber gasket around the hole in the drain pipe to ensure a watertight seal. Secure the two halves of the drain saddle clamp together around the pipe using the provided screws and nuts, tightening them firmly but without over-tightening to avoid cracking the pipe. This connection will be used for the wastewater line from the RO system, which has a 2:1 pure-to-drain ratio.
Goal: Install the drain saddle clamp onto the sink's drain pipe to dispose of concentrated wastewater from the RO system.
