Skid Large Logs to Processing Area

Gathering Up Saw logs on the farm...a simple life away from the rat race
What happens here
To move a large, heavy log from its felling location to a more suitable processing area, the user first inspects the log for existing cracks, using a knife to highlight them. Heavy-duty chains are then securely wrapped around both ends of the log. One end of the chain is fastened tightly to the log, while the other end is attached to the drawbar of a Woods HBL84-2 box blade, which is mounted on the rear of the John Deere tractor. The tractor then slowly drives forward, dragging the log along a gravel road, which creates a furrow. The user temporarily stops the operation to manually fill the created furrow on the road with loose dirt using their foot, ensuring the path remains clear and safe for future use. The tractor then continues to pull the log uphill towards the designated processing area.
Goal: Transport large logs from the felling site to a more suitable area for processing
