Sand Between Filler Coats

What happens here

Once the first coat of Aqua Coat Cabinet Grain Filler is thoroughly dry, it's time to sand. Using an orbital sander with fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 220-320 grit), lightly sand the entire surface. This step is crucial for removing any residual filler that didn't fully settle into the grain and smoothing out any minor imperfections or ridges left by the spreader. Sand just enough to make the surface uniformly smooth to the touch, being careful not to sand through the filler to the bare wood. After sanding, use a vacuum or tack cloth to thoroughly remove all dust before proceeding.

Goal: After the first coat of grain filler has dried, sand the surface lightly with fine-grit sandpaper to remove any raised filler and further refine the smoothness.
