What happens here

Once the concrete is roughly spread, workers proceed to screed the surface. A screed board, typically a long, straight piece of lumber or metal, is pulled or pushed across the forms in a sawing motion. This action removes excess concrete, fills in any low spots, and levels the concrete to the exact height of the forms, creating a flat and uniform surface. This step is critical for achieving the correct grade and eliminating major inconsistencies.

Goal: Precisely level the concrete to the desired height of the forms.
