good morning you guys well i thought we were done snowplowing for the year in fact this is the earliest i've ever pulled all the plows off from my trucks and now the weather forecaster says we're gonna get five to eight inches of snow it'll be interesting to see how much if anything actually sticks around or not but that also means we gotta go get ready just in case something does stick around so we're gonna go out we're gonna throw the front plow on because that'll get us through this event so it was one of the more unusually warm marches around minnesota and all of our snow had melted and we actually had started to set up to do lawn care we had pulled all the plows off hooked the lawn care trailer up and was getting mowers and things ready when we had to switch gears and get ready just in case check this out so this is your connection right take this solid long tine or whatever you want to do and hooks right straight through there she's not going anywhere okay we just gotta get that leg that center leg up we're good all right all right not bad for being dropped in the mud the wrong way oh you can see cause mom and dad coming to the feeder call come here no no or just go over there kaw so i go out on early snow plow duty we don't really have the trigger depth but this is one of those really slick snows the pavement is warm the snow is falling and so what's happening is we're getting an ice layer and we're getting reports from the traffic that the roads are just getting clogged up with accidents and so i want to keep our lots as clean as possible but that doesn't mean i have to plow everything it means i'm selectively plowing yesterday i was up here editing and all of a sudden here look down over the railing and there's caw eating at the cat's food dish [Music] so you can see how this is just kind of sporadically doing what it wants to do but there is cars and trucks and ditches everywhere right now so we want to make sure that we're going to clean up the spots that we have to kind of like touch up slush plowing i guess this is what this is turning i don't know i don't know what's gonna happen you're going for a ride with me let's go find the next spot that we have to clean [Music] up [Music] [Applause] if it snows during the day we go out and we send a few pieces of equipment out and just it's called open ups i'm sure the guys that plow snow know exactly what i'm talking about but if you've never plowed snow it's just enough equipment there to keep drive lanes open and the traffic flowing just like that you okay i got your door open for you put a bag of chips in there i know you like tater chips she's cold in here today but look at like 300 hours 300.2 on it right now we'll find the next problem area before the rest of the crew comes in it's slick holy cow you guys this will be a good test for these sight or groove [Music] look at the backup camera you can see how well it clears snow i mean it's a cool camp and it doesn't automatically go back up so they got this like 360 windshield so you can really see what you're doing right but i have not perfected the windshield wiper on this thing all right let's talk about a pattern here so we have one pile all the way down on the end we're gonna pull everything away from the edges away from the building because as the cars come in they're gonna go to the building first and foremost right so we'll pull all that away and then hopefully the cars will start to get the idea all right i'll go park over there and that gives us freedom to work more out in the main parking area i've been asked to talk about pattern a few times and the only thing i can tell you about pattern is a good operator without a good pattern isn't really that good i mean every lot has a pattern that's the best most efficient for it but they're not secrets i mean you can just kind of once you start to get the basics all right you don't start closest to the pile like our piles down there we don't start right there plowing we start from the furthest point away i've seen guys do that i swear to you does not make much sense this is like plowing and salting all at once with an so during open ups i'm not really worried about detail work i really just want to keep the main drive lanes clear and then if i have some extra time i'll do a little bit i'll throw a little detail work in there every now and then [Music] i went down to illinois to the shop that makes these arctic headquarters and filmed a video where they took a loader at 20 miles an hour with one of these arctic pushers on it and we hit a curb over and over and over and they did it 250 times they counted it before they were able to actually break anything on the arctic pusher the only reason i tell you that story is it kind of gives us confidence when we're plowing with these sectional pushers if we bump a curve with them we're not going to be bumping our teeth into the steering wheel at the same time i'm guessing a few of you know what i mean you hit a curb and your face hits the windshield i love this shot you can see the sight or grooved tires in action they're working the tires haven't slipped once and this is about as slick as it gets you guys oh look at the doors opening for me all by itself thank you mr sledge that's service for you all right looks like we found another lot that's pretty clear let's go in and get this one cleaned up see a four-wheeler in the middle of a parking lot but i don't see a person with it oh okay he has all this with that four-wheeler you can see all the sidewalks but i don't see him ah i wonder if he just went in to use the bathroom or something that's not like elgin to leave his four-wheeler in the middle of a driveway that doesn't make a lot of sense you guys look at our snow bunker is gone for one look at this you guys the whole thing melted i still have snow in front of my garage door that was only this tall and it's still there but my seven foot tall snow bunker mounted so we're gonna put some snow up in that general area i figured that thing was going to last until may i like it nobody's ever taken our stuff it's beginning of march and it's gone jakey wiper activating janky windshield wiper [Music] so we don't technically pull everything off from our snowplow sites until the third week in april and that's because in the last two years we've had over 15 inches of snow around the middle of april and i know a lot of guys i don't know where you guys are at but a lot of guys always thought i was crazy because i've always said no don't completely pull out till we know we're safe all right you guys i've just pushed up all of the snow from this parking lot all to the end and now it's got to get pushed up to the one side of the slow bunker let's see how the tires do i'm gonna put you guys up here and we'll just see how these tires hold up if they actually push or what they do i think the tires are working let's go see the pile we pushed up that is some heavy slushy wet nasty snowman snow all right it gets a bad spot as heavy as it gets that's a good pile all right let's see if we can shove the rest of it in place [Music] oh crap look at alex going hey alex i'll push this up i kind of want to get it angled in so i can build the side walls of the snow bunker again i'll just leave this set for you yeah if you wouldn't mind because i'm going to push it up and then try to get this can you believe the whole thing melted yeah dude dude i still have snow in front of my garage door and this melted this is not fair yeah i know i know but it gives me something to complain about let's see if we can push up that big pile that alex just made stick you guys up here we'll go live action that way you can hear how she [Music] runs boy it doesn't look like a lot of snow on the ground but once you start moving it and pushing it together it adds up fast at least we got some side walls up we got to build a back wall though a little bit man that sledge has some bright lights holy god love them led light all right so we got some sidewalls built back up all we want to do is just enough that somebody can't come take our pushers before we take our pushers right all right so we're gonna bring all this down and we're gonna pile this snow up on the back wall from here we don't have any other way to do it [Music] hello [Music] so you guys i made a video of the top 20 just raw equipment sounds and i put them all together but i'll be honest with you guys i kind of like a mixture of both equipment sounds and then some of this cool music to just it just draws me in i mean like when i watch this i'm just like sucked right in hey is that truck okay on the grass for sure pavement probably what an inch and a half yet up to the curve no not to the curb how thick is your nose picker oh it's like gotta be did you call blaine up yeah he's on his way do we want zach to come he's got an hour and a half drive zach would go in the asb i didn't will never call me back yeah then you can get your truck going so then we got decent size i mean for what we got i don't think we need him to drive for him to drive an hour and a half no i don't think so sam's on the phone right now what's up sam what okay then the police do a random drop in which is really awesome they've been doing this more and more ever since we started having problems big thank you to the police force after we got our trailer stolen and our catalytic converter stolen they actually increased the patrols in our area so it's nice when we're all plowing to see them just coming by it just just gives you a sense of security to know that you got you got someone on your back helping you out you know [Music] look at the clouds those are so cool [Music] hey elgin what happened to your four-wheeler she done think it's it's something electrical she's fried i think she's fried had a new battery put in just two weeks ago hello you've had that thing going for four five eight two thousand that's a long hike oh i know i know what are you gonna do the sidewalks with tonight well i went around once already um so there's just a little bit of glaze on it so i'm hoping uh ice melted and that would be done i do have a utv with a snowplow if you want to use it well let me see how this goes because i just have a couple hands stuff to do and then i'm done okay um and then i'm gonna ice off this place and just see how it goes if it melts that's 30 degrees out yep and i get interstate salt so nothing because that stuff cut through pretty much anything right so if you change your mind like it's literally down the road we can run down and grab it because i wanted to try it out out here anyway so if you need it you got it well it's like one more last snowfall i know i know the last snowfall the year gets ya it gets ya so yeah i'll uh i'll let you know yeah you know because it would be nice maybe to go over this and uh that building there one more time with that it's a little bigger though you know it's a huge side-by-side utv yeah yeah yeah that's the only thing it sucks the four-wheeler fits beautiful on this i know i know you know i've i've had a bobcat on these sidewalks before too oh a little tiny barn cleaner yeah i bet that was slower than molasses in january even too big too you know because my four wheel i can buzz around and yeah this way you buzz around and fly that way yep yeah it it sucks but i've done this many times so i've uh have my little pup out there doing it too this is too slushy though it almost doesn't throw it that much no so okay sounds good good luck yes catch you later that's a good guy slit four-wheeler his is 13 years old holy cow it's a yamaha grizzly watch when he lifts up this back plow the snow's so heavy can't hardly lift it up here's kind of a fun fact you see that arctic pusher right there that one is almost 27 years old that's the end of our video all right kind of just snuck up on me um so this was supposed to be the last plow of the year remember when i said they always sneak up and get you on the last one well we actually i'm gonna we've got one more video coming down the pipeline and i'm not gonna give it away but let me just say we break down with just seven driveways to go and that one is going to be coming up here real quick and there's something i actually want to throw out past you guys i want to start to throw in some of my favorite when i find myself editing these videos i find myself just getting drawn into certain parts and typically it's a combination of the music and just the raw equipment i think the interactions you know the the conversations are okay but what i want to do is just make a few videos where i just let you guys put it on in the background maybe if you got kids you can just let them kind of if they like equipment sounds and they like stuff like that you can just let them just watch relax and enjoy but i want to know what you guys think of it i put one out and i think i called it 100 percent of my most oddly satisfying equipment sites and sounds or something like that let me know what you think of that concept i'm not going to replace my channel with it but i just want to add some stuff in there just to make it interesting and another thing that i'm going to be doing that you guys may be noticing is i'm going to be adding shorts and what i mean is very short videos and i'm going to put those in on the off days so i typically upload monday wednesday and friday at 6 00 p.m a lot of you guys tune in for that thank you for hitting the like button immediately thank you so much for helping boost them i see you doing it um but then in the off days like tuesdays thursdays and saturdays i'm thinking about just adding these very short sweet interesting videos so i just want to kind of lay that out there for you guys so you know exactly what's going on and i want to give a big shout out to lmnd software these guys are amazing and they help sponsor the channel they help bring you the content and they help contractors build better businesses i don't just take on any sponsor unless i firmly believe in them and i firmly believe in lmn software i really do think that they are one of the number one resources to help contractors build a smarter better business contractors already face enough of a challenge with almost a 90 percent fail rate in the industry and that 90 rate is higher than the typical failure rate for a small business because they've got two skill sets to learn one is the skills the actual practical blue collar skills building paper patios building retaining walls things like that but then what really gets them is they master that but they forget to master the business systems behind the scenes but guys that take on lmn i haven't done any scientific research but i firmly believe have a much better chance of success and of be building a business that's long term a marathon not a sprint that's why i firmly believe in them and that's our video for today you guys that's all we got hope you enjoyed it i know i did a lot of talking at the end here but i appreciate you guys sticking around god bless go get him you guys and hopefully we'll see you on another one
