French Drain Installation

What happens here

Begin by digging a trench in the area where water accumulates, typically 8-10 inches deep. The depth and width will depend on the size of the drainage tubing used. Once the trench is dug, line it with a filter fabric, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides of the trench, with enough excess fabric to fold over the top later. This fabric is crucial to prevent soil from mixing with the drain stone, which would cause clogging.

Goal: Create a trench and prepare it for drainage materials.
