FLOOD AFTERMATH: DAMAGED POND DAM! Visit with the goats...chickens and thoughts on food plots

What happens here

Upon reaching the pond, visually inspect the standpipe (a vertical pipe designed to drain water when the pond level rises) for any visible obstructions. In this case, a stick is seen lodged near the pipe's intake, and significant erosion is noted where the pond overflowed due to the pipe not functioning correctly.

Goal: Carefully examine the pond and its standpipe to identify any debris blocking the water flow and assess areas of erosion caused by overflow.

Well, I'm happy to say that the pond doesn't look that bad. The pipe's right here. We're going to get out there. It's got a stick on it. I don't know if you can see it, but you're going to be able to see it really good here in a little bit. We're going to pull the sticks off of it. I'm going to show you also what eroded. We probably eroded oh 15 ft of the dam right here. I will go down and show you a good low view of what eroded and where the pond overfilled. Right in here's where the pond started eroding. And then this is the gully that it washed out. Pretty significant gully washed up underneath the pipe here and uh washed this old big chunk of concrete that used to be the old spillway. And now we're gushing water out pretty good. Let's get our waiters on and get stupid.
