What happens here

This project provides step-by-step instructions on how to securely install floating shelves, specifically addressing the common issue of inadequate standard drywall anchors. The process involves identifying and replacing flimsy anchors with robust 'Toggler' brand plastic toggle anchors, then securely mounting the shelf brackets and wooden shelves to the wall for maximum stability and aesthetic appeal.

drywall anchors. They failed us. So, my wife bought these floating shelves, and we were going to put them right here. Well, I got a couple of issues here. One, there's only one stud between here and there. These little drywall anchors that this comes with, they're not great. I put the one stud in. I put four more in thinking that would be enough, and that's still not setting up straight. I went with these little plastic toggles. These are from Toggler, which they make snap toggles as well. It says they'll hold up to 143 lbs and 1/2 inch drywall. They're going to be real easy to put in. You drill your hole. We just bend this like a little duck bill. Pop that in. It's going to spend back out. Tighten it down. It's going to be awesome. Here we go. I'm going to do one so you can see it and then I'll do the other one later. But I got to pull all this off. Yeah. See, we got a stud there. The rest of these are just junk, man. It's a bummer. I feel like a couple of the screws caught, a couple didn't. It's the easiest way I found to remove these things. Just screw in a little bit and then just pull it out. They didn't really expand or anything. They just kind of split and that's it. They they don't work. That didn't even stay in at all even with it being in. Yeah. Crazy. All right. Yeah. See it? Like just makes my head hurt. Like that's what it does. The whole thing should screw apart. blown out both sides. It just wouldn't catch nothing. I feel like this is the already this right size hole. It is. So, you need a 15/16 drill bit, but this is already the right size hole. All right. So, we'll be able to make this real easy here. Just divvy out four screws, four of these anchors. Like I showed before, you just take this, pop that in like that, a little duck quack, and just pop it in place. little hammer. [music] Those go in fairly flush, really. When installing these floating shelves, there's a little screw hole. Go ahead and put in the the stud one first. there. Now, that is on there. That ain't going nowhere. I didn't realize the hole goes the whole way through. So, you can put the bracket whichever way you want. This is all hollowed out on the back side. If you've never really put in a floating shelf, right there, like so. That is way better than what it was. That is for sure. It's got countersink screw holes right here to screw on the shelf as well. Comes with a couple little smaller wood screws. [snorts] That's going to be way better. I just got one more left to do. I really just wanted to show you the difference between this. Don't buy them. It's worth just getting something like this for yourself that's going to it's it's not as expensive as the snap toggles that I usually use that hold a bunch more weight. Let me know if you got some that all these would be good for besides I I mean I don't even know. I don't have a clue. I'm just going to chuck them all because I I can't even thank anything at the moment but because they're just all garbage. They did give a bunch of screws with this thing. I mean, that's for sure. It's all right. Got some more of these for another project. They'll come in handy. We barely had to use our drill, which is awesome. But this little bad boy, these are awesome, man. These little compacts by Milwaukee. They're I don't know, man. They're money. I have been really enjoying how small, lightweight, and strong these are. Okay. It's another project knocked off my list.
