What happens here
Position a small nail, punch, or similar narrow tool directly against the bottom tip of the hinge pin. Using a claw hammer, gently and with controlled strikes, tap the nail upwards. This action will start to drive the hinge pin partially out of the hinge. Ensure the nail or punch is smaller than the hinge pin's diameter to avoid it getting stuck inside the hinge itself.
