Retrieve the Drain Snake and Clear Debris

What happens here

After the cable has been extended through the clog or reached its full length, turn off the auger machine. Instead of reversing the machine, which can cause the cable to knot or wrap around itself, carefully pull the entire cable back out of the drain by hand (still wearing gloves). As the cable is retrieved, any hair, grease, or other debris that was part of the clog will come out with the auger head. Collect and dispose of this debris appropriately.

Goal: Once you feel the clog give way or believe it's engaged, pull the entire snake cable back out of the drain, collecting any debris caught on the auger head.
