happy I brought you it's very nice we're just recovering from wedding so oh this is nice here we go I can't wait to bring grandkids yeah Troy's a little young so maybe next year we could bring him maybe next year Troy yeah so today is Thursday it's about what is around 10 30 in the morning now a bit on conference calls you know all morning you know related to paint live Supply Co and we're uh days after the wedding so I often got married often I know who both work for pay life Supply Co are on the honeymoon in Cabo so I have got to take up afton's our procurement specialist uh Noah's our fulfillment specialist so McKenna and Lisa are taking up for Noah and I'm taking up for Afton so I've got to you know head up to the store and work in the store today and not work out in the field painting so my day is going to be took it up in the store so pay life Supply Co in Boise Idaho if you didn't know we had a score store we do and um it's by appointment only if you want to come in and see us at Zara online and retail store so if you have any questions you need answered need any help you could come in and I'm there you know quite a bit but not always when I'm out painting I'm not in the store so um to head into the store I gotta do some retail work procurement Specialists I got to keep up with stock orders so I'll be ordering today and so I'm looking at some new products um I think Triad connection you know extensions that are quick release connections I'm looking at to adding that to you know the Arsenal of pretty cool tools that we sell so look for that I've used them I've had them for several years they're a Canadian products but a quick release gun extensions for airless sprayer so we gotta go work on that get those in the store so that's on the agenda for today McKenna who um my middle daughter who's our customer support manager you know gets this email question you know several times a week and she'll she'll ask me you know um you know to answer questions for usually she knows most of them but we keep getting a question like somebody will say hey I have a Graco sprayer can I use um this Titan tip on my Graco sprayer or they'll say they got you know a Titan sprayer because they use a tri-tech tip now if you've got a sprayer or um better yet really this the airless spray gun and it's 15 years or newer you know more than likely probably 99 chance it's Scott you know standard threads on it so what we considered you know 7hg thread and see all the threads on those guns typically any you know airless spray gun guard that holds the tip will thread onto any gun so if you got a Graco gun but you want to use a Titan tip all you need to do is get a Titan guard screw it onto the Graco gun and it'll house that tightened tip to complicate things you know you could take a Graco gun and um take a Titan tip but have a Graco their Orange Guard a Titan tip will go right into the Orange Guard you know tight tip won't go into the blue rack X card so yo you could take a Titan gun and if you put an orange guard on the Titan gun you could put a tri-tech tip on it so to kind of summarize it you know if Titan Tritech and Bedford tips are all interchangeable with each other's guards so it's kind of simplest to just use Titan tri-tech or Bedford because then any guard you use even the Graco Orange Guard will work what happens is if you got a Graco rackax guard that's the Blue Guard that's proprietary to Rack X tip so you could only use rack X tips and guard so stay away from the Blue Guard and you're probably pretty much good to go to use any tip on any gun so it's closing time um heading home so this is the back office this is where my photographer works that's where McKenna works right there that's where Afton works over there and then that's where I work right there that's the back office coming out here see pay life Supply Co come out to the front and we got the small showroom paint life supply stuff here it's we're closed now it's five o'clock heading home still got family in town from the wedding but yeah we can check out right behind me don't get too dizzy that's guy looks familiar for some reason but lights are out gotta lock up this is the back room back here where Noah works by careful filling orders Noah's desk is right behind me so that's it heading home so what actually does a day you know in the store you'll look like you know for me so today uh got arrived to the store um early in the morning you know right off the bat how to solve some problems uh for McKenna that had some customers that bought the online cabinet course that we have and the video wasn't planned on the web browser had to solve that then the Titan rep you know showed up the new Titan 440x sets coming out it's pretty dang cool with some new features so um I met with him about that and had a meeting with uh Kyle from paint line the owner of paint line who makes all the really cool cabinet spraying you know um and drying rocks and they got a new rack coming out that actually does doors standing up interior doors which is pretty dang cool um that's going to be a paint life Supply Co I worked on with my photographer on creating some more graphics and content for the web page you'll talk to my videographers about some of the content they're creating and and I have to review and edit all the videos that they're I'm not I don't do the editing I have to review them and give feedback on it if there's any corrections um and then some customers came in the store you know talked to them gave them some help had a customer call up you know that wanted a product that um you know we didn't carry but tried to figure out where we can get it um just a lot of like just uh daily store stuff I had a make some orders create orders for product that was running low because Afton is Cabo because it's her honeymoon and um gosh orders were or um product was coming in so I have to you know check the inventory of those products that came in they've got a input that data into the computer so inventory inventory says correct so just a lot of busy work so it's just non-stop busy you know at our store the photographer is just creating content constantly the videographers just non-stop Lisa showed up you know McKenna was fulfilling orders the entire day uh Lisa showed up about noon started to help him fulfill orders so man this is just crazy at the store so whenever I'm there it's just wild busy I had an hour meeting with our Google ads representative that does a lot of our marketing stuff so it's busy there's never a moment when I'm not working when I'm at that store it's time to get a bike ride in so I'm gonna go out for my 20 mile bike ride get back hopefully it's like around 5 30. it usually takes me about an hour and 20 minutes and then get back and go fish and get some evening fishing in to dark then we'll head in to do some work on the computer before going to bed so let's go ride so I got done riding hug spent enough time to eat a nectarine now we're heading out here to The Ponds to fly fish so we're gonna see if we can catch some five pound bass see what happens so we were fishing some neighborhood ponds and man there's some grumpy neighbors that came out and didn't want us fish in their ponds so we laughed came over down by the Boise River some commercial commercial business ponds but man no luck I don't know what it is the weather or something is keeping stuff from biting so it's about 11 18 at night um fishing didn't go so well didn't catch very much didn't catch anything actually but did get a lot of practice um casting you know flies top water with my sprayer rods so that was kind of cool um several hours of casting um just a couple takes but no um hooked fish no landed fish but it was kind of interesting because we were you know at this um neighborhood that I've fished probably for 20 years now and I've painted shoot maybe five six houses in there neighbors gave me permission to actually fish in there or not neighbors but you know customers that I painted for and um and so I've been fishing there for a long time and I've I think I've only fished there once where I've ever seen somebody fishing there before there's like three four or five ponds like that and you know they're not surrounded by houses they're kind of on the edge of the neighborhood and you know one gentleman came out and said you know hey if you don't get off the property I'm gonna call the police and have you arrested which was um kind of extreme I thought you know and so I kind of just tried to have you know apply conversation with them just explaining that I had permission to fish but you know he followed that up with the person supposed to be with you if you got the permission and I said understood um just kind of try to you know have a quiet conversation with them because I had some family here that wanted to fish and and um we were actually quiet we don't keep the fish no music just three of us and so he wasn't having any of that and just you know from the polite quiet conversation he finally just said if you don't leave now you're going to be arrested so that was just really interesting because I didn't expect that from somebody from Idaho and um usually and Idaho it's a really nice polite and you know I think like you know I don't have a pond a lot of people don't have ponds um probably the majority of people don't have ponds to fish at you know and you know there are the river stuff like that but you know your ponds your neighborhood Pond actually can be a blessing to others you know that don't have access to stuff like that um or you could just keep it to yourself and um you know and not be a blessing and you know he tried to say that you know there's people are disrespecting the pawn they're being bowed they're camping there but never seen that in 20 years I've never seen any other people there so it was just really you know odd to me that you know I mean you can either be a blessing or you you can be a curse and so um kind of unfortunate so we left we went and fish some Commercial Business ponds didn't catch me there anything there either but 11 o'clock at night just kind of tidying up some paperwork getting stuff done hopefully go to bed midnight get up and do it all over again so last night to um got to bed like I think I went to bed at 1 11 A.M in the morning so I worked on um the computer how to do a lot of um orders uh and ordering for the store um products out of stock because after it is on vacation for a week so I did ordering um I did uploading new thumbnails that are photographer graphic artists made for our YouTube channel for old videos so I spent a lot of time doing that and um yeah just doing office work so I got up at I don't know like 7 45 uh ate breakfast I had a meeting at 9 15 with a new app company clavio or clavio for the store to look into new you know a new platform for flows and SMS and push notifications all that stuff you know so that meeting you know went really well now it's 10 30. heading to the store again so this is a week the entire week I won't be painting because I've got to work the the store pay life Supply Co because often once again is on vacation Noah is on vacation because often and Noah both work for us and the Doom got married and they're in Cabo enjoying sunny weather well it's cool and windy here in Boise so work in the store all painting jobs are put on hold until they get back and then then I actually gotta go next week Sunday and fly into Denver get the tour sashko so they're the makers a big stretch and that caulking exact color where you can color your caulkings I get to do a tour which was always fun I get a video meet the people the company love doing those videos you're going to get to see you know a tour of sashko and hopefully get some cool Insider information and they're in Denver so I'm heading to Denver and that's also the same week McKenna key and Pete's in the National weightlifting Championship so so excited to see her she did she's in the open division now she in the past I think a couple years ago in Detroit she was on the under 23 division took two third places I believe in the snatch and the overall so kind of cool so we're heading to Denver to see her go see sashko but I'm heading to the store to work in the store today so if you got any questions you can always stop by our store when I'm there so first activity of the day is TopGolf with the family visiting from California so gonna have some fun playing some games Topgolf in Meridian Idaho just came here this year so so we got Miss Idaho coming up next Lisa she's gonna show us how to do it let's go Lisa let's go show us how to drive it here we go taking a stand [Music] whoa there you go baby you can see the scoreboard got Chris Chris and Lee by one stroke got an interesting project tomorrow we got to do because Luke is um McKenna's husband is a realtor and he in order to close on an FHA loan a deck has to be painted before the loan will close the customer is actually going to tear the deck out as soon as they close but the loan won't close or as soon as they take possession of the house but the loan will close until the deck is painted which is the craziest thing so we're going to go out tomorrow and stain this deck so we're not going to spend a lot of time and we're not going to do it the way we typically would because it's just going to be ripped out like literally days later so kind of a bummer to have to waste our time but uh while we're what we're going to do is just spray with a stall of solid color stain I'm going to take the opportunity to test out the new Titan 440 impact X which has some really cool features and I'm going to be testing out the Titan control Max 1900 that I believe the 1400 that's going to be in lows I'm coming up here pretty soon so I got three sprayers I'm going to test out on this deck so we're going to actually um get something accomplished you know on this deck So eventually you'll probably see some video footage of it and just remember this deck is ugly and it should be pressure washed it should be cleaned um then it should be you know stained um probably just sprayed and back brushed the entire thing but we're not going to be back rushing any of it because it's just going to be ripped out so that's going to be my tomorrow but Friday is almost over can't wait till afton's back and yo helping fulfill orders helping procurement and Noah will be back fulfilling orders so can't wait for them to be back and McKenna is off getting ready weightlifting for the Nationals coming up in Denver so Sunday I'm leaving for Denver going to be enjoying Denver [Music] national championships so we're out working Saturday Luke and I working on this deck and I'm testing out the new Titan 440x so it's um absolutely love it so far they've got this deck so this is like the craziest thing so this deck is actually going to be ripped out as soon as this house closes which is actually in about a week and in order for the FHA loan to close the deck had to be coated and it wasn't coated but there's a lot of bad flaws with the deck it's not very safe and it's going to be ripped out but FHA don't care they want it coated but check this out there's some just crazy things in here so like this floor joist right here is just sitting like right there on that and they're just loose like hand railing and pickets and stuff that aren't even nailed to things all across here and so the customer the owner that's um closing on it they are going to be ripping it out and so Luke and I just had to stain this thing really fast just to get it to close so just a quick fast staying job this is our Saturday so I'm out here chasing Strava records in the Foothills the Boise Foothills so I'm on my cyclocross bike trying to get an hour workout in and then go home go to dinner with my wife show you my cyclocross bike there's my cyclocross bike if you've never seen it before so you know I make absolutely exhausted from you know painting the deck today with Luke but you know I got to get my workout in so that's what the Boise Foothills look like and this is right out my backyard so I live right up against this bike park where there's mountain biking uh downhill cycle
