Finish Mower...Does it make the cut? You Decide!
What happens here
The mower's gearbox is shipped without fluid, so it's crucial to add gear oil before operation. Locate the fill port on the gearbox and use a funnel with a very skinny head to pour in 80-90 weight gear oil until the sight glass indicates it's full. Next, identify all grease fittings (zerk fittings) on the mower (e.g., on the PTO shaft, wheels, and any pivot points) and apply grease using a grease gun until fresh grease purges from the fitting. Adequate lubrication is essential for the longevity and performance of the mower.
Goal: Ensure all moving parts are properly lubricated for operation.
