Farm Vlog#10:The goats get a new home... a racist comment? Spotlight at the end! Solar Fencing

What happens here

Install the Zareba 10-mile solar-powered electric fence controller. This unit has a solar panel for charging an internal battery, an on/off switch, and terminals for the ground and hot wires. The green terminal is for the ground wire, which connects to the ground rod. The red terminal is for the hot wire, which connects to the fence line. Ensure the controller's solar panel is facing south for maximum sun exposure. Once connected, turn on the controller and observe the flashing light, which indicates it's sending pulses of electricity through the fence. Finally, use an electric fence tester to confirm that the fence is receiving a charge, checking for any shorts or grounding issues.

Goal: Connect and test the solar electric fence controller for functionality.

Tools and materials
