What happens here
After switching the Kubota SVL 75-2 from its dirt tracks to the new, wider snow tracks, a second 'tug-of-war' is conducted against the ASV RT-75 (still on its snow tracks). This time, the outcome is a near-perfect stalemate, with both machines barely moving each other. This stark contrast to the first test (where the dirt-tracked Kubota easily pulled the ASV) dramatically illustrates the critical impact of matching the correct track type to the environmental conditions. The wide snow tracks on the Kubota now provide much better flotation and a more appropriate tread pattern for the icy/compacted snow, negating the ASV's earlier advantage.
Goal: Demonstrate the improved performance of the Kubota with appropriate snow tracks.
Tools and materials

- Kubota SVL 75-2 Skid Steer Kubota — One of the machines for the tug-of-war, now with snow tracks
- Snow Tracks N/A — On both machines for this comparison, designed for flotation and traction in snow
- Snow/Ice N/A — The terrain for testing track performance
