Electrician Service Call, Customer Said they heard Buzzing in their Home Electrical Panel, Thoughts?

What happens here

The electrician proceeds to replace the faulty 15-amp single-pole circuit breaker. He retrieves a new Cutler Hammer circuit breaker from his service van. He installs the new breaker and ensures that the circuit breaker terminals are tightened down securely to prevent any future loose connections. After replacement, he checks the voltage in the electrical panel to confirm 240 volts between the hot legs and 120 volts from a hot leg to the neutral, verifying proper power supply.

Goal: Replace the faulty circuit breaker and ensure all electrical connections are secure and voltage is correct.

Tools and materials

  • Multimeter / Voltage Tester — Checking voltage levels within the electrical panel
  • Screwdriver — Removing and securing circuit breaker terminals

Yep, found the problem. It's a 15-amp single-pole circuit breaker, loose connection. The wire was so loose the breaker came right off. So, while I was at it, I went to my van and I got a new Cutler Hammer circuit breaker to replace it. I put the new circuit breaker in, and I made sure that circuit breaker terminal is tight in the hell down so the wire was secure. I also checked the voltage of the electrical panel to make sure there was 240 volts coming in in both hot legs, and 120 volts from one hot leg to the neutral, and it was all good. Just needed a new breaker and tighten connection. Customer is
