This video documents a professional electrician diagnosing and repairing arcing circuit breakers in both a residential and a commercial electrical panel. It highlights the dangers of loose connections and arcing, the process of replacing faulty breakers, and the importance of ensuring secure wiring and proper voltage levels for electrical safety. While presented as a project, this type of work involves high voltage and extreme risk, and should only be performed by a licensed electrician.

Okay, is everything on right now? All right, yeah, that's an arcing circuit breaker, no good. So, let's get it fixed. My name is Handy, I'm a 25-year-old electrician in New Jersey, and I got a service call cuz a homeowner said they had half of their house with no power, and they heard buzzing in the electrical panel. Do you see that arc? Yep, found the problem. It's a 15-amp single-pole circuit breaker, loose connection. The wire was so loose the breaker came right off. So, while I was at it, I went to my van and I got a new Cutler Hammer circuit breaker to replace it. I put the new circuit breaker in, and I made sure that circuit breaker terminal is tight in the hell down so the wire was secure. I also checked the voltage of the electrical panel to make sure there was 240 volts coming in in both hot legs, and 120 volts from one hot leg to the neutral, and it was all good. Just needed a new breaker and tighten connection. Customer is satisfied, and onto the next call. Warehouse called and said that their 3-phase 480-volt 50-amp circuit breaker for a snow blade was arcing. Here's my bro Ken using his ammeter to see how much amperage is being drawn. The main said it was tripping, so we have to troubleshoot, and it was arcing, and it was due to the burn marks in the panel cover. Follow for more electrician content and see how we get it fixed. Tune in for part two to see how we get it fixed.
