Setup and Start Wood Chipper
At 1:29 in
Electric Tractor...Now will it do ACTUAL WORK?
What happens here
Don the Stihl safety helmet and safety chaps. Then, prepare the skid steer-mounted wood chipper for operation. First, wipe down the hydraulic hookups on both the chipper and the skid steer with a clean rag to prevent dirt or debris from entering the hydraulic system. Then, securely attach the hydraulic lines. Once connected, start the Gehl skid steer and crank it up to the recommended RPMs (approximately 2200 RPMs) for the chipper. Before engaging the chipper, ensure the discharge chute is pointed away from yourself, any personnel, buildings, or equipment. This prevents injury or damage from expelled wood chips. Engage the chipper mechanism once the skid steer is at the correct operating speed.
Goal: Safely connect and activate the wood chipper attachment.
