Initial Sanding of Flat Surfaces

What happens here

Carefully guide the orbital sander over the flat surface, applying even, moderate pressure. Ensure the sander is kept flat against the surface to avoid creating divots or uneven spots. For initial material removal, use a coarser grit sandpaper (e.g., 80-120 grit, like the EKA STORM sheets shown). Move the sander in consistent, overlapping passes, following the wood grain where possible to minimize visible scratch marks. If a dust extraction system is available, ensure it's connected to keep the work area clean and improve sanding efficiency.
