What happens here
Begin laying the permeable pavers directly on the screeded bedding layer, typically starting from a straight edge or a corner. The pavers in the video are rectangular concrete blocks with large voids, designed to interlock and create a strong, permeable surface. Lay them in the desired pattern, such as the herringbone pattern seen in the video, ensuring tight joints between each paver. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap each paver into place and maintain proper alignment and level. Avoid stepping on the screeded bedding layer as much as possible to prevent disturbing its level. The video shows the final pieces being placed, indicating the majority of the paving has already been completed using this method.
Goal: Create the main permeable surface pattern.
