What happens here
This video provides a step-by-step guide on how to unclog a bathroom sink drain using a drain snake, specifically focusing on the Rigid Power Spin Plus tool. The process involves assessing the clog, safely disassembling the P-trap, using the drain snake (both manually and with a drill attachment) to clear the obstruction, cleaning the components, reassembling the plumbing, and thoroughly testing for proper drainage and leaks. It also includes tips on handling chemical residues and maintaining the area under the sink.

(4,704 characters)My sister in-law called, said she's got a stopped-up sink. We are completely stopped up at this point. There is standing water and there's a bottle of Green Klobber, Green Gobbler. So, we're going to pop the P-trap off the bottom of this. I got this Ridgid Power Spin Plus right here. For a DIY homeowner friendly situation, this is what you're going to want right. No mess. It's got a hand crank. You can see right here and then you can hold this trigger right here down and it's going to either go forward or go back. I usually only like to go forward. If you have a drill, you can pop this handle right here off. Grab yourself a drill like this awesome little 12-V stubby by Milwaukee right in here like so. Get that clicked on. Now, we have a power snake. This bad boy is going to go smooth, quick, easy. So, come along. Let's get to fixing. Small, small, small space. Look at how small that space is. Insane. It's like baby cab. Look, people use this stuff and it works, but man, I'm going to tell you like your plumber is never going to want to come in after you've dumped a bunch of chemical down the drain and it's stopped up and he's got a get down underneath here and get all this out. Little glove action. Crack your nut, turn it loose, let it drain. Okay, I am going to let this drain until it's done. I want no surprises. You see that water foaming? That means there's Green Gobbler in there, all right? Gobble, gobble. Got that just about drained right there. Yeah. I would say that that's a little bit of an issue. Get up in there right there. You can see that. Does not look pretty at all. I don't even know what's in there. So, I don't have my whole tool kit with me here. I'm going to pull the snake out. And we're going to try to get right back there. And we're going to see how funky Oh yeah, what is that? Oh my gosh. Now that we've got at least that first initial portion cleaned out. Okay, starting to bind up a little bit. Pull the snake out to clear the bind, work it back in until you get it going. So, now we're running pretty good here. I like to run all the cable out of the snake and clean it out here. I don't like to reverse the snake. So, what we're going to do here is I'm just going to grab some paper. I'm going to start pulling this back so I can clean it while I'm pulling it back. If you could run some water in this situation, you would want to. I unfortunately cannot. I don't have my whole set up here. That's okay. Just get it as clean as you can. Oh, it definitely went down, which is good cuz I can hear it below me. Just kind of trying to clean this off as we're pulling it out. Okay. So, now we've got this pulled out, mainly cleaned up. Get this all cleaned up. It's pretty clear. Let's give this all a little hand tighten here. Do a little glove change. Get up here on top. We'll go hot water. It's like that's going pretty good. Get that filling. We've got this filling up right now. We're actually just going to let it run down the overflow for a little while while I get the rest of this cleaned up. Starting to go down the overflow. I wish we could let it run like that for a little while. All right? Shouldn't overflow while I'm cleaning up unless there is a stoppage. I found this clip right here for the pop-up assembly. That That looks like it probably hasn't worked in quite some time cuz she thought she lost that, but we're going to unload the sink. You can hear it. Oh, yeah. So, now with this clip, you've got to put one side in, you got to get the bar on, and put the other side of the clip in. We'll fill it up again. Then we'll drain it again. And now the the pop-up assembly rod works. I'm going to do this a couple more times. And more water we can put down it the better. So, if you put some paper towels down, you don't put any anything else underneath your sink, you'll be able to see if you have a leak there. And everything's good. I've tested it several times, but I always like to make sure. There we go. We're rocking and rolling once again. The RIDGID Power Spin Plus came through for us. If you guys are looking for a DIY friendly snake, this is it. All right? There will be a link in the description box. This right here is dirty work, but this has saved me so many times. And for the price, like, you can't beat this. If you didn't have a drill, you don't need a drill. You can use the handle that comes with it. But it is nice that you can simply just swap that out real quick. I really hope the videos are helping. If you folks could please subscribe, click the like button. We'd love to have you keep coming back. We're just trying to help. We hope we're doing that. Thank you very much. And we'll see you again real soon.
