Easy Furniture Refinishing. One Day Furniture Makeover.

What happens here

The video begins with an introduction to the project, showcasing multiple furniture pieces including a cubby shelf, nightstands, a picture frame, and a TV stand, all slated for a fresh paint job. The main product used will be Centurion 2800 Series 2K Polyurethane, highlighted for its durability and smooth, velvety finish. The presenter explains the importance of catalyzing the paint for increased hardness and resistance, a process that will be demonstrated later. Tools like the Ekasand 3x4 sander with a HEPA vacuum attachment are introduced for surface preparation, along with an inspection table for quality control. Different finishes, from rustic to polished, will be achieved through various techniques, including Bondo filling for imperfections, sanding, vacuuming, and spraying multiple coats in a ventilated spray booth.

Goal: Understand the project scope, main materials, and tools required for professional furniture painting.

This Christy Idaho painter here on PaintLife TV, today I'm going to be painting some furniture. I got some furniture behind me. We got some other furniture here in our shop and in our booth. And we're going to be painting it using Centurion products, a 2K poly, spraying it with an airless sprayer. We're going to be getting amazing looking results. If you want to know how to paint your furniture, make it look like a professional did it, make it look like it came out of a factory. Stay tuned for this video. All right, we're going to get started painting our furniture. I got multiple pieces of furniture. I've got a shelf here. We've got a nightstand. We've got a picture frame. We got another nightstand. We got a TV stand. We got a bunch of different pieces of furniture. We're going to be doing it different colors. We're going to be using Centurion coatings. They're 2800 series 2K poly. It's a poly that can be used 1K or 2K if you're not familiar. You know, with that terminology, it's catalyzing it or hardening it. I've got videos that explain that process and we'll be explaining a little bit as we go to, as we catalyze and harden the paint because if you want your furniture to be extremely durable and have that soft velvety look and finish to it, then you want to catalyze your product or add a hardener to it. Once again, using Centurion 2800 2K poly. We're going to be sanding using our EchaSan 3x4 sanders and amazing sander with a happy back hooked up to it. We've got an inspection table so we can inspect our furniture. We can inspect our work to make sure we've got a flawless finish. Some of it's going to have kind of a rustic look to it. Some of it's going to have a polished look to it, but there's going to be different things are going to be doing. We're going to be doing some filling with some bondo and sanding, vacuuming, spraying multiple coats in our spray booth that we can do
