Easiest Patio Pavers You'll Ever Install!
What happens here
Prepare the marked area for excavation. Use a Ryobi 40V HP Brushless Tiller to break up the hard, compacted soil within the patio boundaries. The tiller efficiently loosens the earth, making it easier to shovel. After tilling, use a shovel to scoop the loosened dirt into a wheelbarrow. The excavation depth should account for the base thickness (4-6 inches of road mix), the sand layer (0.75 inches), and the paver thickness (1.75 inches), minus 0.25 inches for settling. In this case, the target excavation depth is 6.25 inches.
Goal: Remove soil to the required depth for base layers and pavers.
