What happens here

This project focuses on diagnosing and planning a solution for an improperly primed OSB (Oriented Strand Board) wall. The video highlights common problems like uneven texture, bubbling, and staining that arise from using water-based primer on OSB. The proposed solution involves applying an oil-based stain-blocking primer to correct these defects before applying finish coats.

I know that this looks bad. This is exactly what happens when you use water-based primer on OSB. This is exactly what I'm dealing with. Rough, uneven, just not sealed right. It's staining, it's bubbling. That's what happens when you use water-based paint. Is this done? Absolutely not. It still needs another coat and it needs your top coat, probably two coats of top coat. But, I want to correct this issue before I go any further. This is a perfect example of what not to do. And, I saw a lot of your suggestions and I'm going to start with the first suggestion. I'm going to start with oil-based paint or a stain blocking paint. We're going to try that first and see how it turns out. If it works, great. If it doesn't, then we'll escalate to maybe skim coating or doing drywall, but the first thing is oil-based paint and we'll go from there. So, if you guys want to see how this disaster of a wall turns out, uh follow for more and let's figure this out together. Peace.
