DIY Stucco Painting: Full Guide with Tools, Paint & Prep

What happens here

The video starts with a demonstration of spraying a stucco surface. The speaker then introduces the topic of painting stucco, explaining his general approach and preferred paint types. He typically uses flat paint for stucco but notes that for the current project, he is using Sherwin-Williams Emerald Rain Refresh, which has a slight sheen that aids in washing off dirt. He also mentions other high-quality, typically flat paints like Benjamin Moore Aura, Behr Dynasty, and Sherwin-Williams Duration, all of which are considered lifetime warranty coatings. For stucco surfaces, he generally opts for flat finishes unless a specific sheen for washability is desired, as with the Emerald Rain Refresh product. He emphasizes using high-end paints for durability and performance.
