What happens here

Once the subgrade is compacted, lay a geotextile filter fabric (often referred to as landscape fabric or filter cloth) over the entire excavated area. This fabric serves as a barrier, separating the aggregate base from the underlying soil. This prevents the stone from migrating into the soil and the soil from mixing with the stone, which helps maintain the structural integrity of the foundation and ensures good drainage.

Goal: Separate the aggregate base from the subgrade soil.
