Rough Leveling and Spreading

What happens here

Once the concrete is initially placed, workers continue to spread it across the entire area of the slab. They use specialized concrete rakes or shovels to push and pull the wet concrete, ensuring it fills all voids and reaches a roughly consistent height throughout the formwork. This step focuses on eliminating any large humps or hollows, creating a relatively uniform surface that is slightly above the final desired grade. This prepares the slab for the more precise leveling steps that follow, ensuring an even distribution of material.
