What happens here
For the external areas and adjacent surfaces, a more efficient method is employed. The individual switches to using a masking tool, which is a dispenser that applies masking tape and a pre-attached roll of paper or plastic sheeting simultaneously. He guides this tool along the outer edges of the cabinet frames, creating a straight, clean line of tape while simultaneously unrolling and adhering the protective paper/plastic to cover the surrounding countertops, walls, and any other surfaces adjacent to the cabinets that are not meant to be painted. This method significantly speeds up the process and ensures consistent coverage and sharp lines.
Goal: Protect external surfaces adjacent to cabinets (walls, counters, floors) from paint overspray and drips.
