All right, day in the life as a service electrician [music] episode 67. So today we get to the client's house. He wanted an EV charger installed for his new Tesla and it's the end of the summer now. Starting to get cold outside of New Jersey. I had to bring out the Milwaukee propane heater to keep us warm. My bro Ken started getting to business by cutting the [music] sheetrock with the multi-tool. Here's where the EV charger is going. There's no other way to do it, guys. You have to cut the wall. We then start installing our 3/4in EMT [music] conduit for the charger. We installed a 40 amp circuit breaker and ran 8 gauge [music] thhn wires, two hot wires, and one ground wire. Cuz this is a 32 amp continuous load [music] EV charger. I start snaking my wires and strip the jackets. Only need about 1 in of copper. Don't have to go crazy. The [music] Tesla charger is 240 volts. I then torque my wires into the terminals. And yes, sir, there she is. Look how beautiful that charger looks. [music] Nice and white and a fresh install. Conduit strapped, A2 ROMX wire in the wall. My bro Ken is then spackling the drywall and cleaning up because real electricians clean up. [music]
