What happens here

This video documents an electrician's service call to a commercial facility requiring a power upgrade for a new rooftop air conditioning unit. The electrician identifies the current 125 Amp circuit breaker and the need to upgrade to a 150 Amp breaker within an 800 Amp panel. The core challenge presented is that the existing panel does not have a readily available 150 Amp slot of the correct physical size, with the closest spare being a 400 Amp breaker of a different form factor. The electrician presents this problem and asks for professional advice on how to proceed, suggesting the potential need for a 'strap kit' to adapt the panel for the new breaker. This video serves as a problem identification and consultation request, rather than a step-by-step instructional guide for performing the actual electrical upgrade.

All right, guys. So, we're on a service call. Now, here's the problem. And if you go over here, the customer called and said that they got to upgrade their circuit breaker for a new rooftop air conditioning. So, you can see right here, this is the current breaker. It's 125 amps. This is an 800 amp panel. And they need to upgrade this to 150 amps. Now, here's the problem. Now, this is a 150 amp breaker on the bottom right here. And this is 125 amps. They're different sizes. So, we got to make sure and troubleshoot how we're going to get a 150 amp breaker in here. Right below here, here's a spare. But, this is 400 amps. It's a different size. So, I'm thinking we're going to need to get a strap kit or something. But, um guys, let me know what you guys think. But, um we're going to get this done. And um yeah, guys. That's the service call.
