Take the old, faulty headlight bulb indoors for a closer examination under better lighting. Using a toothpick, carefully point out the high beam filament, noting its intact, tightly wound condition. Then, point to the low beam filament, clearly showing the break in the coil, which caused the intermittent or non-functional low beam.
