What happens here
This project provides a comprehensive overview of how a two-story residential house is professionally demolished using heavy machinery. The process involves systematically tearing down the structure, reducing debris into manageable pieces, and loading it for removal. While technically a 'DIY' for trained professionals or contractors, this guide outlines the methods and equipment typically employed in such a large-scale demolition. It highlights the power and precision required for safely dismantling a building.

my job harder you know it's not like this is a demo of Celebration like she's building a new home and a new life and all this new stuff and exciting and she's going to get her dream home no this is the was her home so that made it even harder you respectful everybody's got their own Journey right it's not our job to judge won't and even though I got plenty of space here plenty of space I'm still pushing everything down in on itself because that's just the way you should do it cuz if you practice makes permanent right you get yourself in one of those positions where you don't have space you got plenty of practice you have plenty of chances to figure out what that's like to work when you don't have space and at least where I'm at when we don't have a lot of space okay trees above and I'm pretty close me so everything is getting pushed one way we got a trailer here all right I'm going to put you guys on something else mode [Music] oh [Music] a [Music] [Applause] [Music] guys this is Joe from Iowa what is it Earth Eartha earthwork so you have more than this one right yep yep we got a handful a handful yeah nice you going to let me keep running it yeah you can do whatever you want nice that's what my kind of answer right there it was it was Scoops to fill up that last yeah I bet I bet it's oh God it's meant for this yeah what do you use it for uh we proba bought it for this tree removal house demos we don't do a ton of that stuff uh cuz obviously it'll you know still load dump trucks and dirt all that fun stuff so what kind of work do you do uh yeah so Land Development uh house Recon or uh sorry not house reconstr uh Road reconstructions um ditch channels about anything all right what year is this one uh I think it's a 15 I don't know you answer like I do we got a mini ho up to a a 530 so one of the things uh when you pulled up it just started flashing me that the coolant level is a little low and it said check with the service technician at the end of the ship okay so I best I figur I better let you know what was going on with it are we okay for running it okay it'll be perfect are you going to run the baby hole over there I just uh we we have a project down the road so oh I I said hey I can I can come up and I got about 2 hours I was like I I'll help you on my way back to De Moine I got uh I'm here for about another I got I I got to leave at 4:30 so I'm here for a bit longer yep and then uh one of these guys will probably be hopping in or yeah but yeah no thank you for letting uh letting these guys use it it made up such a world of difference I didn't have to we de demoed another house which was this size and I had to crawl up on the cap so I had to save the C to get at the top Yep this no yep zing zing zing 17 minutes yeah that's pretty to take the whole house down yep 17 minutes to get it down three scoops to load up the truck right yeah yeah yeah no it's it's meant for it yeah it it's nice it does a good job yeah uh you want to load up this one I got to change batteries yeah all right cool thanks Joe appreciate it pretty awesome man what an awesome Team Awesome People goer Global is awesome good people volunteering there's people behind the scenes volunteering that can't be on camera I had to remove them from camera uh people you wouldn't expect Vol volunteering when I say I had to remove them well it's not because of uh they were camera shy it's just because they're going so far above and beyond what they're what they should be doing that they just didn't want to create problems or trouble right and sometimes that just happens so um with Joe loading here for a little bit I got to go in the truck and change batteries and do whatever it is I do damn dang Joe is making that machine sing I'm trying to be slow and respectful but look at him go [Music] guys the ability to be able to do this and bring you guys along for the ride is such a blessing so fun to be able to do that and we got another one we got the baby blue over there Tak it down the garage that big that uh bble excavator really puts it in perspective how tiny that Kabota excavator is all right boys that's been my office for the day just taking a breather so I can come outside and actually filmed something this machine here is on loan from Iowa Earth birs a mobile EC 250e I took that house down in 17 minutes that was a two-story house 17 minutes with it last trailer I loaded up three scoops we got baby blue over here Gregory's in it he's 19 the time he's 20 he's going to be running machines like that without even thinking twice about it can you believe that that is a um dump trailer behind the pickup truck that has got to be all a 30 all right guys well we've just got a couple more trucks to load and with that machine that isn't going to take very long not at all and Joe knows how to run turn it was nice of him to come in it was uh impressive to load a tiny little trailer with a huge machine you're right and and not breaking the trailer yeah yeah not breaking the boards or nothing so I do have a question for you though Dennis if people want more information if they want to maybe they have skills and they want to assist or maybe they're they know some l l line on a piece of equipment or something that could help out because you are a small bootstrap organization um your you and Barb serve the Midwest go serve Global is a a worldwide organization you've done work in Haiti and other places Haiti several countries in Africa Guatemala India but you know and I've been at those places but this is my passion this is barbar and I want to help those who need help in the United States so and we need people to do that we need volunteers skilled volunteers is huge you know you being here running executor Joel being here running guys that know what they're doing uh obviously we need finances we cannot do this without finances uh you Insurance overhead you know repair Fuel and new equipment to keep us moving forward so we can help more people volunteers we need just the the volunteer we can use everybody from raking to run an excavator and everybody in between and people just to sit and talk to the people you know because these people need to tell their stories as part of their process Barb and um what was her name she's a new volunteer so new volunteer both helped she she's got a master in in um Social Work social work so that's what made this us be able to get into this house cuz otherwise we wouldn't have gotten into it
